The gas drying jar is the economical choice for keeping water out of your vacuum pump during your Rice Test. The included Drierite desiccant turns from blue to pink when saturated, and can be regenerated and used again by heating it up in an oven.
The gas drying jar is the most economical choice for keeping water and moisture away from your vacuum pump. When running a rice test, the Drierite is able to filter out any of the water before it can damage your pump. When the desiccant becomes saturated it turns pink to let you know it’s time to recharge it.
To recharge your Drierite, simply place it in an oven and allow it to dry out and turn blue. Once it’s completely blue place it back in your jar and you are all set. Gordon Technical recommends that you have 2 gas drying jars at all times to prevent downtime.
